Indulgence

A few days ago, I went on an impulsive buying spree. I don't usually do this but I did. I am not all stoked but I am happy with what I bought and took home. Maybe, this is better than splurging on something that I don't really need. Is it obvious that I am trying to justify the purchase? Hehe! Okay anyway, I raided the Face Shop, Body Shop and some nail counters for the polishes. I initially didn't plan to buy anything that day I went out with the girls, Joyce and Jonah. They decided to go to the spa for some foot scrub session and I decided not to go with them and just go to the supermarket to buy the ingredients for the pesto pasta I am making for the weekend.

I happened to pass by the Body Shop and well enjoyed my sweet time there. I had to use the vouchers I earned for being a loyal shopper there anyway. I took home with me 3 body washes (olive, papaya and pomegranate) and a body lotion (Ananya). Then I noticed that my big toe nail polish had a little chip so I decided to go head to Face Shop to check out some new colors. I bought a few colors and some nail nutrition coats. I also bought a couple face masks and this amazing rice water cleansing foam. I tried it once before when I got a trial pack free from the store last month and it worked well with my skin.

The Rice Water Cleansing Foam contains rice water(10%) Fit Protein orchid extract Vitamin B5 complex. Its creamy and cushiony texture eases handling and moisturizing ingredients leave skin feeling hydrated after cleansing by minimizing moisture loss. So far, it comes second with L'oreal's Pure Zone Line at least for me. I don't have acne but I like my face super clean feeling after using it. The Face Shop cleansing foam however smells so decadent that I think I'll use it more from now on.

So, after splurging on the two stores, I dropped by my favorite nail salon(Marionnaud) and picked up some Orly polish (Haute Red and Flirty Girl)and a Clinique polish (Pink Guava). I wanted to buy some Christina Fitzgerald polish but it was way over my budget for a bottle of polish. Maybe next time... Okay, although I go to the spa for some nail cleaning and buffing (I can do my left fingernails but not my right so I better have a professional do it for me for the sake of balance and pampering-hand massage), I still bring my own nail cleaning kit and polish too. Just being a little too careful...

I felt a tinge of guilt but I guess it isn't too bad after all when I know that I will be using all what I bought for myself and for some good cause...beauty indulgence.
