Tacos, Ocean Park, President Cory

My team at work decided to do a little welcome party for the new additions in our team from the newest batch of technicians. We thought a Taco Party will be fun. So after everyone agreed that it is what we are going to do, I assigned tasks to each one and was well accepted and we had tacos aplenty yesterday. Everyone thought the ground beef that Rose made was oh-so-yummy. I took a few pictures and here's some...

I took the pictures before the lettuce was sliced and the cheese was grated so they are not in the picture. Here's the first taco I made and ate it too...

When I got home, Uncle Don was glued to the TV (President Cory's wake at the Manila Cathedral) and we agreed to go and witness for ourselves a historic happening. I didn't take pictures of the line and the people all queued up in Intramuros because I was busy shielding myself from the pouring rain. I did however manage to take pictures of my face before we took a cab to the cathedral.

And here's another picture taken in Ocean Adventure. We stopped by here while the necrological service was ongoing because the public were not allowed to get in anymore.

And here's some of the best shots I took while checking out the fishes at the Ocean Park...

We went home a little late and tired from walking. I slept and didn't wake up until about ten in the morning. I watched the funeral mass and the presence of all the people who attented was very heartwarming. They queued and waited outside the church and the route leading to the Manila Memorial Cemetery in the middle of the outpour. I cried over Kris Aquino's heartfelt speech. Full military honors was also given to the late President and yellow has been the color of the day.
