Let's Talk Perfume

I have long been mistaken to be a perfume connoisseur because I know a lot of perfume names and the base, mid and top notes and all that stuff. I have used quite a lot from eau de parfum to toilette to cologne and I have come to a conclusion that sometimes these perfumes are strikingly similar to some other most common if not rather rare ones.

Here are some of the similar-smelling ones:

1. Try substituting Benefit Laugh with Me Lee Lee to Thierry Mugler Angel. Angel is much more expensive and it has a very pretty crystal-like bottle while Benefit looks like a cocktail shaker and is on the more affordable side.

2. If you previously wore Tommy Girl (I used to back in college), you would love Lacoste's Love of Pink. I use this now and Lacoste is a little flowery and the more expensive between the two but hey the bottle is a little cuter and yes it's pink.

3. If you wore CH Carolina Herrera, you would love the less expensive Dior Poison.

4. Lauren by ralph Lauren is one of the classics and if you get tired using it because of its rather drab red and gold bottle, why not try the more eccentric Lola by Marc Jacobs? The bottle is pink and the cover a crystal rose.

5. If you like crisp-smelling perfume such as DKNY's Cashmere Luxe Edition, I am sure you would certainly like Estee Lauder's White Linen. You will never go wrong between those two. Clean and crisp and oh-so-similar.

I have tried on a few perfumes but my all-time favorites would still be Hugo Boss Deep Red, Lancome Miracle, Guess Silver, Estee Lauder Pleasures, Lacoste Love of Pink, Cacharel Promesse, and Calvin Klein Crave (yes, this one is for men but yeah I use it sometimes and I like it on my man too). I'm getting this heady feeling thinking about all these scents.
