To say that I am in-love with NYX round lipsticks is an understatement. I have read countless times how other beauty bloggers raved about this and I haven't had any clue that one day I would be hooked too. It started out one day while I was sorting the lipsticks and lipglosses that I have accumulated for the past year. I have this bad habit of using one and then not finishing it so I am starting a project next month (use up all the lipsticks/glosses that I have or mix them to form other colors - I am still researching on how to safely do this). I have a lot of used and unused tubes and I need to give attention to some. But lo and behold, before I could even do that, I ordered Nyx Round Lipsticks from Sol, just because I want to try them too.

I ordered Castle, Doll, Margarita, Milan, Power, Sierra and Eros (B52 and Ulysses were sold out). I plan to keep some for myself (just the pink and apricot shades and give the rest to my mom and sister. Of course the red shade will go to my mom, it's the only lipstick color she likes (in whatever brand).
On a side note, I meant to give her one of the Lancome Chris and Tell lipstick but she said I could keep it and just give her the Lancome Color Design Red Stiletto and the Retro Rouge. If you can suggest any other red lipsticks I could get my mom please do...and oh my mom's not big on make-up, all she wears is a good powder (MAC sheer loose powder) and a red lipstick. The most make-up she wore was on her wedding day (29th wedding anniversary next month).
Where was I? Okay, I got sidetracked for a bit. The lipsticks I ordered arrived in Nyx boxes wrapped in bubble wrap. Thank you Sol for being so accommodating. To show my appreciation, I ordered some more colors (Apollo, Indian Pink, Gem and Thalia). Narcissus is out of stock so I am scouting for that color. This may be a start of a collection already...

I can't seem to get nice pictures of the swatches so I won't be posting any but I'll keep trying. Anyway, I am sure the beauty bloggers have posted so many swatches of this well-loved brand already.
What I like about the Nyx round lipsticks?
1. super creamy and feels like lip balm
2. nondrying so it is good for those who do have chapped lips
3. the ones I have tried have a pleasant smell
4. way too cheap
5. staying power is okay for it's price I think
6. the bottom part of the tube tells you what color is it (no need to open the tube if you suddenly got the amnesia and forgot how an Indian Pink lipstick looks)
7. simple packaging (black)
What I don't like about the Nyx round lipsticks?
1. it is not kiss proof and waterproof (the color transfers to anyone and anything your lips gets in contact with)
2. some colors makes you look washed out - so you have to really be wise in choosing what to wear (I don't think I will ever wear all the colors I have ordered)
3. it is only available by online order (I hope it will be available in malls soon so you get to see the real color before you buy it)
Will I buy again?
- Yes! Just like I said earlier, this is the start of another collection. I have bought each for only Php170 each (a little over $3).
