MY SHORT AND SWEET TAGAYTAY GETAWAY

7:12 PM

I am still reeling round and round from one of the best getaways I have ever had in my whole life. It was an overnight experience filled with so many memories that I would forever cherish. If I had any choice I could have stopped time right there and then. But yeah, as they all say, some good things never last. The only one consolation I have is that it happened and it could happen again. I am just so happy, inexplicably happy.

Yesterday, after Manny Pacquiao's monumental win over Margarito, I packed my bags and headed to Tagaytay. I booked the "I Dream" room (Php6,119.09 nett) at "The Boutique Bed and Breakfast". This quaint boutique hotel is nestled amidst the slope of Tagaytay Ridge. Upon checking I was informed that there was something wrong with the LCD TV so I had to transfer to the "I Lust" room (Php8,574.09 nett). The room that speaks for itself with a lusting view that says it all. It is the upper level presidential suite with private terrace and a separate bath tub overlooking the Taal Lake.

Before I got ushered in my room, I was given the chance to choose from the different scents of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, bubble bath and room diffuser. I chose apple for my hair, vanilla for the room, lavender for body wash and bubble bath and peppermint for the soap. This is the first time I get to choose my toiletries. After choosing all the scents I wanted, I was led to my suite.

As soon as I entered the room, my jaw dropped. The bed was too pretty to sleep on and the view was just breathtaking. I was "in lust" literally. It was drizzling so I decided to just stay indoors and get comfortable in the king size bed with soft feather cover and white percale in 300 thread count linen. I loved the bed and the millions of pillows in it.

Around 8PM, I decided to go down and have dinner. I ordered the baby back ribs, slow roasted pork, baked potato and a bottle of beer. Ahhhhh, I was so full and all I wanted to do was to go back to my room and lounge comfortably in my bed. I was also served piping hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies. Oh, that thoughtfulness! Before I finally decided to call it a night, I watched a movie. Shortly after it was lights off...

I woke up a little early at around 6AM and took pictures and then watched a movie. Ahhh, the good life! Around 8AM, I heard some knocks and it was my breakfast in bed. Yay!

I really enjoyed my stay and I can't wait to come back again. The only thing that I was disappointed about is that my name was misspelled in the welcome letter. I was actually looking forward that the letterhead was signed by the boutique keepers so it's more personalized. But it's no biggie. I was also given a loyalty card. After five stays, I will be given a free night stay. Sweet! Before I headed back to the car, the receptionist handed me a box with a pretty red ribbon wrapped around it. Oh I just love boxes with ribbons...
