Think Pink, Think Dior, Cruise 2011

It's no secret that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it is the Pink Month as well so to speak. The Christian Dior Cruise 2011 Collection is a sight to behold, overflowing with all the pink goodness. The collection was inspired by the French New Wave and features a lot of cool, classy pieces, and more dramatic, romantic numbers. Perfect attire for your honeymoon day or evening look.

This year, Shanghai has succeeded in being labeled the “Paris of the East”. Having hosted the most prominent runway shows of Summer and Fall 2010, John Galliano added to the mix on Saturday with the Christian Dior Cruise 2011 Show. A flirtatiously-styled “Parisian Chic” is what the Dior Cruisewear show brought to China’s rapidly-growing fashion capital. Galliano’s fashion house is the latest to make a major splash within the Chinese luxury market.

Inspired by mod-chic and French cinema, Galliano’s latest ensembles projected a pretty, “Barbie doll”-like appearance using the label’s trademark of exotic leathers and edgy details. The collection appeared very wearable, adding to the appeal of this fashion house, famous for its over-the-top designs in couture.

So pretty, I want them all...

And I Quote...

I was trying to organize some pictures into albums when inspiration hit me. And I came up with these...

Took this picture while having lunch at Conti's in Greenbelt.
One of the many vases of flowers that someone sent me.
Too much makeup on New Year's Eve 2009.
Reunion with Raen in an indoor pool.
My sister and me at a bar in Boracay.
 More of these bunch soon...

Victoria's Secret 2010 $2M Fantasy Bra Unveiled

Victoria's Secret "Bombshell Fantasy" bra was unveiled in a publicity stunt yesterday in New York City to kick off the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, happening November 30 on CBS. Brazilian model Adriana Lima was seen yesterday flaunting the one-of-a-kind $2 million bra - a bargain price compared to other annual fantasy bras from past Victoria's Secret holiday collections.

The 2010 Bombshell Fantasy bra has 142 carats of jewels, including 60 carats of white diamonds (3,000 total) and 82 carats of topazes and sapphires. According to, Lima said the Bombshell Fantasy bra was designed by Damiani Jewellers, and is "special and not just flashy." "It's very comfortable, very comfortable," Lima remarked.

Check out what makes these bras so special:

Victoria’s Secret has managed to maintain its top spot in the lingerie fashion industry, being one of the world’s most renowned women’s lingerie brand. Lingerie can play a very important role when it comes to confidence and feeling feminine and sexy, so investing in sexy, high quality lingerie will only bring you benefits.

There are a variety of lingerie styles available to choose from at Victoria’s Secret and because Victoria’s Secret has always tried to add glamor and sexiness through their lingerie styles, they have created the Diamond Fantasy Bra. The name of this bra suggests what the bra is all about and watching this bra which is developed every year is more than a delight.

The first Fantasy Bra was created by Victoria’s Secret in 1996, and it was a called “the Million Dollar Miracle Bra”. The bra featured more than 100 carats of diamonds and a variety of semi-precious gems which made the bra look amazing. The Million Dollar Miracle Bra was worn by Claudia Schiffer, the world renowned supermodel which looked amazing wearing this super-expensive bra.

Do You Wear "Delicious"?

Ah no, I am not talking about coating yourself with chocolate or sprinkles. I am not talking about food either. I am talking about the fragrance for women, DKNY Be Delicious. I haven't really tried using this perfume as I have been loyal to Gucci and Hugo Boss and Lancome among others.

And I think I am missing a lot...

Well, they have a cool app in their Facebook Page too. Why don't you try?

It's Almost Christmas...

It's almost December, almost Christmas once again. I have always associated December with long lines at the counters, sales and specials in every store, cold breeze, longer nights and shorter days, bows and boxes, pretty ribbons and colored papers, blinking lights all aglow, gift-giving, wishing and making someone's wish come true, and kissing under the mistletoe just to name a few. Oh, I purposely omitted Santa Claus. I learned that there's no sleigh and reindeers when I was 5. It was my mom and dad who filled my stockings. But who was I to complain. I couldn't care less, just as long as I had candies and some coins and some crisp bills in 'em then I am happy. I had simple wants. I didn't wish for a gaming console, I was never addicted to any game , heck, not even Pacman.

I have never really demanded for anything from my parents for Christmas. I only demand (well not really) on my birthday. I feel that I am entitled to some extra spoiling on my day. I never did ask for them to buy me some Prada coats or Fendi boots. I got my first Gucci bag when I was already 27 and I bought it with my own money. This December I plan to give myself another reward. I'll reveal it when I am successful.

Well, December is fast approaching. I haven't finished my holiday shopping list yet. Are you done with your list? Do you prefer to shop online or in a real mall? Tell me...

Let me leave you with my favorite Christmas song of all time...

Remembering Brandon

"God allows us to borrow the people that he places in our lives for a short time and the time that we are given we should cherish because those moments are unforgettable and can never be taken away even through death."

I could not imagine that four years have already passed since Brandon passed away. It didn't seem that long. The Spongebob shirt he left me is still not tattered (maybe because I have stopped wearing it already and it's hidden in the depths of my closet). The memory of that day, that sad fateful day still lingers in my head. It's been four years and I am surprised that the bitterness I feel in my heart is no longer there. And yes I would agree that it is such a poignant and humbling experience to be able to undergo this kind of situation.

Goodbye Brandon. Rest in peace...

NOTD: Colorful Toes

This is the first time that I will be posting an NOTD with painted toenails. I always use pictures of my fingernails but now I decided to post my "fugly" feet (fat and ugly like a pregnant woman's swollen feet) but with nicely-shaped nails.

You might remember that I posted my latest Zoya haul a few posts back and I could not wait to try them on one by one and so I thought it would be fun to try to don multicolored pedicured nails. I loved the result! I think it is fun and playful and well yeah colorful. I used Zoya Dominique, Zoya Valentina, Zoya Persiphony, Zoya Riley and some random Korean-brand orange polish.

Here are some pictures:

This is not something I would wear often but I think it turned out good. It actually became a conversation-starter at work when some noticed that I had different colors on my toenails.

Have you tried painting your nails like this too?

The Truth Is...

"The truth is, I can’t be with you like this. I mean, I know I said that I could, but I can’t. I can’t just compromise myself like that. I mean, I’m an emotional person. I feel things, and I need to be able to get upset and talk about how I’m feeling. I mean, that’s just, that’s who I am, and I can’t change it. I don’t want to. And the thing is, you knew that. You knew it, and you still pursued me. Because you want something with me. You just aren’t strong enough to have it. Which… in a way, makes you a coward. And the saddest part is that one day, you’re gonna wake up and you’re gonna realize what you missed and it’s gonna be too late." -FELICITY

NOTD: Zoya Veruschka

I bought a camouflage skirt at Calliope and decided to wear it for our Rockstar Theme Day at work so I decided to paint my nails with Zoya Veruschka. It is matte and it's not hard to fall in love with the color. As usual, easy application, no need for base and top coat and super fast drying time. Nothing can be as effortless as applying matte polish on your nails.

I applied three coats of the polish before I achieved the opacity I want.
See how pretty the color is?
And of course, a shot partly showing my technicolor toenails...

Has anyone of you my dear readers already tried this polish? Did you leave it as it is or did you use a top coat for shine? Let me know...
