If You Want To Take Me To The Movies...

Better make sure you take me to these movies:

Love and Other Drugs
Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway

Maggie (Hathaway) is an alluring free spirit who won't let anyone - or anything - tie her down. But she meets her match in Jamie (Gyllenhaal), whose relentless and nearly infallible charm serve him well with the ladies and in the cutthroat world of pharmaceutical sales. Maggie and Jamie's evolving relationship takes them both by surprise, as they find themselves under the influence of the ultimate drug: love.

No Strings Attached
Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher

A guy and girl try to keep their relationship strictly physical, but it's not long before they learn that they want something more.

The Roommate
Minka Kelly, Leighton Meester and Cam Gigamdet (hotness!)

A psychological thriller about a deranged college freshman (Leighton Meester) who becomes obsessed with her new roommate (Minka Kelly).

Fast Five
Paul walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson

Dominic and his crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tyrese Gibson

The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle.

Red Riding Hood
Amanda Seyfried and Lukas Haas

Set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, a young girl falls for an orphaned woodcutter, much to her family's displeasure.

Green Lantern
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively

A test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.

So far those are the movies that I wanna watch. I may not be able to watch all the new ones because of my hectic schedule but I will try...

Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011 Lookbook

Extreme femininity is what the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011 Collection screams. Besides, the accompanying retro lookbook totally reflects this approach. Clothes and accessories, flawless feminine details and clean tailoring, sweet florals and pastels combine in order to get the perfect ladylike vibe. The Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011 lookbook speaks for itself, being the right lesson about femininity.

Extremely feminine clothes that perfectly combine modern and vintage, silk blouses, suede jackets, ladylike dresses, flared skirts, cinch-waisted shorts, and high-waisted trousers represent wearable pieces that exude femininity through details and cuts, bows and pushed-up busts. Refinement, grace and nonchalance are three of the characteristics that best describe a woman and the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011 collection manages to take in every single one of these features. Moreover, the handbags, hats, leather driving gloves, oversize accessories, and scarves romantically securing the hair come and balance the looks.

What's the best definition of femininity? Sometimes, it can be described as the ideal combination of inner and outer world, in a harmonious way. Some people say we are born with it and it cannot be thought. Therefore, can we talk about two types of femininity? One that is exuded and cannot be materialized and another one that comes under different touchable shapes? Taking a glimpse at the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011 lookbook it is impossible not to see the ideal “partnership” between the two.

Sometimes femininity can be that discreet touch of finishing an outfit. It comes and completes an overall aspect, adding the missing piece. For example, a pair of high-heeled shoes with bows and floral prints, cute embellishments adorning romantic, flared dresses, or a pair of cateye sunglasses.

The Louis Vuitton collection for 2011 proposes chic pieces in pretty colors, such as pale pink, soft buttery yellow, light green, and prints of fruit vines and peonies.

The luminosity and simplicity of the outfits give a melancholic, romantic, yet sophisticated and elegant feeling. Marc Jacobs managed to create for the Louis Vuitton 2011 a collection that takes us on a journey to the land of style. Oversize chain necklaces and leather driving gloves are matched with sweet floral printed ballerina flats, ladylike dresses and feminine retro hairstyles. Model Anne Vyalitsyna manages to render the feeling, while photographer Mark Segal captures the unique atmosphere.

Besides pastels and fruity colors, one can see the timeless, classic black used to take femininity to the maximum. A gorgeous little black dress and a seventies outfit were the black “intruders” in the collection. A pair of high-waisted trousers, a lace blouse, and a thin belt perfectly capture the '70s vibe. The already legendary items of the brand, such as the monogrammed luggage, the reinterpretation of the classic Speedy, and other eye-catching details remind us of the Louis Vuitton style and spirit.

Counting Blessings

2010 has been a good year for the most part. And now I take time to thank God for all the blessings I have received and achieved in 2010.

And this I told myself:

You need to stop going for a gold medal in everything you do -- there is more to life than winning competitions! Today, you need to learn how to accept yourself the way you are. Acceptance leads to peace, which will help you have a better attitude about yourself and where you are going in life. Things could be better, but they could be a lot worse, too. Be grateful for what you have. Express your thanks to some of the people in your life who are always there when you need them.

Thank you 2010! Thank you to everyone who have been a part of my life. Thank you. Thank you.

HELP! How Do I Clean My Hermes Belt?

I am clueless as to what cleaning implement to use to clean my white leather Hermes Belt. I need everyone's help. I was able to clean the silver buckle but not the leather part. I've tried looking for answers online but I wasn't able to find a credible source. Help!

My Christmas Wish This Year: A Nokia C7

Dear C7, Be Mine This Christmas Love, KT

“Do I want a Nokia C7 for Christmas?” - Of course, who doesn't? I want a shiny new gadget this Christmas. I want a sleek-looking gadget this Christmas. I want a thin gadget this Christmas. I want a phone with 8MP camera this Christmas. I want a phone with a 3.5" AMOLED screen this Christmas. I want a phone with 8GB built-in memory this Christmas. I want the memory expandable too through the microSD card slot. I want to be connected this Christmas. Connectivity is fully covered with Wi-Fi (including WirelessN), GPS, 3G (with HSPA) all on board. Enough said...I want a Nokia C7 for Christmas!

Plus, I want something I can personalize by choosing from thousand of apps and games in the OVI store. Interesting! It combines metal and glass in a sleek full-touch design which would let me plan my next vacation in any of the 200 countries covered by Ovi Maps. It just keep getting better!

And I know I deserve it. I am not even feeling a tinge of guilt for wanting it so bad.

I deserve a Nokia C7 this Christmas because:

1. It will be my inspiration to lose some more weight. Don't you know that if you focus your attention to one object, you sharpen the tuning of your perceptual template? Yes, this phone could be my inspiration of some sort. Action Plan: Focus my attention on a Nokia C7 so that all that remains in my mind is the feel and weight of the object. It's so thin, I like it! It is small enough to get into and out of a pocket without much effort. It is 4.6 inches tall and a very savvy 0.41 inch thick.

2. It will be a show and tell device. I can show off all the pictures I took with its 8MP camera. I have been learning how to shoot objects and people and sceneries and so I can use this to hone my photography skills on the go. Imagine, I don't have to lug around a heavier camera. Oh and as a blogger, it will be a better alternative to shoot food before I eat especially when I am with non-blogger friends. Pretty neat eh? Other features for the rear camera are dual LED flash, face detection and geo tagging. The C7 also has a front facing camera for video conferencing. Awesome!

3. I have been generally good and cordial and friendly and more results-oriented this year. Really, I have been...

4. I have been using my SE phone which is about to reach its end of life... The screen is scratched that I feel embarrassed to use it in public. The silver hardware around the screen has fell off already and the sound quality has deteriorated my mom had to ask if I was gargling while talking to her. It is in dire need to be replaced. And the Nokia C7 will be a perfect replacement for sure.

5. I sleep with my phone beside me. A new Nokia C7 will be a perfect "bedmate". It will never complain even if I snore. LOL!

I am Kessa Thea, I deserve a Nokia C7 this christmas...
The Nokia C7 is available at all Nokia Stores and authorized retailers nationwide. It comes in mahogany brown, frost metal and charcoal black colors. But of course, I want it from Nokia and Nuffnang... (wink)

Oh yes, I want a Nokia C7 and I deserve to have one...Do you want one too?

Spot The Counterfeit

Luxury items from big-name brands are ultra-popular holiday gifts, but with so many impostors out there, it's extra important to be sure you're buying the real thing. Shopping online places greater distance between you and your purchase (which allows serious room for scams), but these days it's even tricky to spot a counterfeit item in person. The online consumer site SiteJabber has put together a list of the top 10 counterfeit items and brands for the holiday season. If you're looking to buy any of the goods listed below, you'll want to be extra careful about where you buy the item and examine it closely or check the store's return policy before you commit.

The top 10 most counterfeited items of 2010:

1. UGGs
2. Coach handbags and leather items
3. Tiffany's
4. Athletic jerseys
5. Perfume
6. Nike sneakers (especially Air Yeezy and Air Jordans)
7. Ed Hardy and Juicy brands
8. Watches (like Rolex, Omega, and Tag Heuer)
9. North Face
10. DVDs (especially box sets of TV series)

So, how do you know if your purchase is a fake? Many websites like UGG Australia and auction sites like eBay offer up guides and tips on how to spot counterfeits, but there are some essential ways to identify an inauthentic fashion or beauty item:

Be sure to know exactly what the real logo, label, and/or hang tag looks like, and check to see if they are spelled correctly, in the proper fonts, and located in the right positions on the item. Also check out the point-of-origin tag. Louis Vuitton bags are not "made in Taiwan."

Most designer bags are made carefully so all-over prints continue evenly around the sides. If you see something that doesn't match up properly or stitching that looks uneven or crooked, it's probably not legit.

Knock-offs often skimp on the interior materials to cut costs, so the real bag may be lined with suede, whereas the fake one will use cheap synthetic fabric.

If you're buying footwear be sure all identifying marks (ie, the designer's name and logo) match up on the bottom.

Make sure zippers are working, threads are the right, matching color. Many brands include authenticity cards and instruction booklets with their merchandise—you can check with the company directly to find out if your purchase should have these.

Discounted designer perfumes could be authentic, but so old that they've actually gone bad years ago.

Is the item you're buying supposed to come with a dust bag or logo shoe box? If it's not included with your purchase something is wrong. And remember: just because something is sealed in plastic does not mean it's real. People have been known to fill perfume bottles with household cleaners—or even urine—and shrink-wrap them.

To avoid complications, you should try and shop from the real, licensed store whenever possible, or a reputable website. Never buy luxury items on the street or from a random site online. Search engines cannot screen for sites carrying knock-offs and the pictures you see may vary from the actual item you receive. Do some research ahead of time to know exactly what your item should look like. If a vendor only accepts cash, this is also a red flag. Keep receipts and use a credit card so you have a record of your transaction.

If along your shopping journey you do feel tempted to buy a fake item, perhaps for a good deal, don't. Counterfeits are illegal, and they are typically made under poor and unfair work conditions. They lessen the value of the brands you're essentially trying to support and negatively impact the overall global economy—the counterfeit industry removes tens of thousands of jobs and costs an estimated $600 billion of legitimate revenue a year. Not to mention you'll be missing out on the thrill of owning the real thing and have no warranty.

So when out trying to buy the real thing this holiday season, stick to authorized retailers and examine everything before you buy it. If an item looks suspicious in any way, walk away. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!

Eye Candy For The Style Hungry = The Facehunter Will Visit Manila

Yvan Rodic, the man behind The Facehunter in Europe comes to Manila on December 29 (6:00pm - 9:00pm) for a book signing at Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City.

"The book collects the best photographs from, one of the world's most visited street style blogs."

"Yvan Rodic has compiled in this book images that show his unerring sensibility for street style, having traveled to nearly 30 countries, capturing real people, whose clothes reflect the incredible diversity of the world's cities. Character and charisma are what he prizes people who wear their clothes with confidence. The result is a contemporary portfolio of what's chic on the street, and an insightful predictor of what will be chic on the runway. Whether you're fashion forward, backward, or sideways, you'll find something inspiring in this radical, personal, and unpredictable book of street style around the world." (Amazon)

Rodic's photographs go to show that the next style icon could very well be just around the corner, waiting at a bus stop or sitting on a park bench. Here lies the beauty of hiswork: fashion no longer works only from the top up, where trends seep into the mainstream from the runway. Instead, Rodic is partly responsible for a small revolution whereby designers look to the streets, taking inspiration from the people who like clothes and manipulate them creatively. Rodic's book ╩╗Face Hunter╩╝ brings together 300 photographs from his blog archive into a more tangible form.

2010 Wish List

Creating my wishlist this year took a lot of time and thought because I feel I am really selfish if I still wanted more than what I already have. Then again, who doesn't want receiving gifts yeah? I love the feeling of opening a box filled with goodies from simple to extravagant. I've stopped believing in the flying sleigh with a bearded man and reindeers pulling it a long time ago but I never stopped wishing that my christmas stocking be filled each year.

Don't get me wrong, I am not being materialistic or whatever you call it. It's just nice to have little/big things that would bring a smile to my face this season. I purposely removed the Macbook Pro as I am going to get it as soon as I replenish my savings. My wishlist is not filled with just material things. If you want to know, continue reading...

1. A Nokia C7 - my first cellphone is a Nokia and my second and my third and even fourth. The Finnish company just announced that the C7 shipments have started rolling, making it the second Symbian handset available on the market. I want one because I just want one and I am curious as to how a Nokia phone that runs on Symbian works. I have been using a Sony Ericsson touch screen phone for almost three (3) years already by the way. I loved it so I can't ditch it. Also, it has an 8MP camera. That's what I like most about it.

2. Benefit Maybe Baby Perfume - I could not find it anywhere in the Philippines already and I am not even sure if this is still available in Sephora branches. This perfume is sparkling and flirtatious. Maybe Baby is a warm and inviting fragrance that captures a playful tumble of white blossoms. Like a wink from across the room, or a lingering gaze or shy smile ... it's a tempting tease. I will surely jump up and down if I receive a bottle of this perfume. If any of my friends in the US reads this, you know what to get me... Haha!

3. Garmin Forerunner 310XT - Finally, a GPS-enabled training device that isn't afraid of the water. The rugged Forerunner 310XT is the triathlete's indispensable training tool — a GPS-enabled trainer that is water-resistant to 164 ft (50 m), tracks data in multiple sport modes and sends it wirelessly to your computer. This multisport device has up to 20 hours of battery life, tracks distance, pace and heart rate¹ on land, and goes from wrist to bike in seconds.

4. RL Oxford Reversible Comforter Style #3968237 - I want the queen size! :-)

5. Hugs and Kisses and a whole lotta lovin' - enough said!

6. Spa Session - I want a relaxing bath with candles and petals and the works, a chocolate or peppermint body scrub, aloe vera facial, and at least an hour of relaxing, sleep-inducing massage. Oh, let's throw in a full body waxing session and mani/pedi too. Talking about being pampered silly! Count me in... I wanna go back to Qi Wellness Spa (Leviste Street) near Salcedo Park, Makati. I had the best massage I have ever had in my whole life there.

7. PR3 or PR4 Blog Rank - I want more hits and I need more readers. If you are a blogger and wants to give me a gift, show me some link love. :-)

8. Zoya Nail Polish (Wicked Collection) - Julieanne, Kym, Cheryl, Carrie Ann, Edyta and Karina. I totally love this collection.

9. Pole Dancing Class at Movement Studio in Greenhills - I need to make my core stronger plus this exercise is uber sexy too. :-) I am not sure how much the lesson is but for sure whoever would pay for all the classes until I learn it will get a free show from me. LOL! This is an excellent fitness routine because it works out the entire body. It's a dead-on serious workout!

10. And then again, I am wishing for world peace once more...

So yeah, some people just love making lists...and I am one of them... Do you have a wish list?
