Everyone is celebrating Sinulog in Cebu today but since I was not able to travel there, I decided to write something about another festival which is coming up in February and March in Baguio City "The Summer Capital of the Philippines".
The Panagbenga Festival 2011 theme is : “The Environment and Community in Harmony”. It is recognized as one of the countries most celebrated festival with hundreds of street dancers performing in the main thoroughfares of Baguio City. One of the most awaited event is the Flower Float Festival in which several tons of fresh flowers are used to decorate the float representing various organizations and establishments.

March 6, 2011 – Grand Closing Ceremony & Grand Fireworks Display (Flowers in the Sky)
Local and foreign tourists will be flocking the city again so if you plan to go, book your hotel as early as possible. You don't want to shack up under the pine trees do you?
