My Signature Scent: Gucci Envy Me

3:13 AM

What compelled me to write this post are the comments I got from my officemates. I always get asked what perfume am I wearing and I honestly don't like the sound of it when I say "Envy Me". Hahaha! Do you know why? It's kind of proud and bordering sarcasm when you say "Envy Me". I've had a few favorites eversince I had the freedom to choose what perfume I would wear. Growing up I only had the liberty of choosing between colognes that my mom would buy for me or sometimes be lucky to get a spritz of her CK perfumes. My first perfume buy out of my own pocket was a bottle of Hugo Boss Deep Red and from then on my love affair for perfumes started.

I don't really maintain a collection much less hoard because I only keep a bottle or two of the ones I like "at the moment". Currently, I alternate between Gucci Ency Me, Chanel No. 5, and Burberry Brit. What I currently love most would be the scent from Gucci.

It has been 7 years since Gucci Envy was released back in 2004. The perfume specialist Karine Dubreuil is the creator behind the perfume composition. Basic notes – pink peony, jasmine, lilac, white tea, pink pepper, lychee, pomegranate, pineapple, apricot, peach, mango, pink musk and sandal tree. Interesting eh?

I am halfway through the bottle I am using now and I think (I'm actually positive about it) I am going to pick another bottle before I completely use it all up.

Here's a rather awkward "Adam-and-Eve-(and Snake)"-inspired ad for Gucci Envy Me:

What about you? What are your favorite perfumes? I would love to know...
