OPI Texas Collection

You probably know by now that apart from Zoya nail lacquers I am also in-love with OPI. I was stoked to learn that last February 2, the Texas Collection, officially launched. I was expecting to see browns and purples but got floored to see purples and hot pinks. Either way, I am happy and I cannot wait to get my hands (err nails) on these new colors.

"Texas offers a great inspiration for timeless, classic and effortless style," says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI's executive vice president. "Texas provides a naturally beautiful palette of colors, from peach and honey to brighter hues seen in blue skies, green grass and vivid flowers. Along with bright shades, Texas is also home to the neutrals we will see this spring in fashion, from tan to coffee-brown."

The collection includes the following:

I Vant To Be A-Lone Star – You won’t want to share this starry Texas-sky blue.
It’s Totally Fort-Worth It – A shimmery lavender grey that’s so worthy of you.
Austin-Tatious Turquoise – A metallic turquoise, perfect for the state's most cultured city.
Don’t Mess With OPI - Green like the grasses of the Texas hill country right around April when the bluebonnets are in full bloom.

San Tan-tonio – A light brown shade that reminds me of refried beans -- in a good way.
Suzi Loves Cowboys – But she loves this campfire chocolate shade s’more!
Y’all Come Back Ya Hear? – This Texas tangerine will be waitin’ for ya!
Big Hair Big Nails - A rosy pageant peach.

Guy Meets Gal-veston – An “engaging” coastal coral.
Too Hot Pink To Hold ‘Em – A red-hot pink-red that deals a winning hand.
Do You Think I’m Tex-y? -  A deep pink/purple that would look great peeking out on toes in the sands of South Padre Island.
Houston, We Have A Purple! – A galactic red-violet that’s sure is a pretty pretty purple.

This collection is a texture overload. From the glossiest cremes, to sparkly jellies to glass flecks, there’s a finish here for everyone's liking. I personally prefer the glossy cremes. Are you going to pick up any of these nail polishes?
