I Have Never Been To...Coron!

I have never been to Coron but I have made plans to go there finally...

Yes, I have never set foot in Coron, Palawan. I have long been wanting to but I just couldn't find the right mix of favorable airline ticket rates, people to travel with, hotel accommodation and adventure package. So now that me and some coworkers (Caroline, Karen, Jeff, Jerin, and Nori) are inching to escape the humdrum albeit source of our travel budget tasks at work. I booked our tickets and we are leaving on the 21st of July. Good thing I have lots of saved up compensatory time offs so I won't be needing to apply for any vacation leaves. Our round trip airfare costs Php1693 (around US$40). We will be landing at Francisco B. Reyes Airport in Busuanga, Palawan.

I have already made calls to secure our accommodation and island hopping activities. We have the following in our itinerary: Coron Baywalk, Coron Market, Saint Agustin Church, Mt. Tapyas and Maquinit Hot Spring, Siete Pecados Marine Sanctuary, Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Banol beach, Twin Peaks, and CYC beach. That would be too much and I guess just enough for our first trip to Coron. No one in our group has ever been to Coron and that makes this trip more exciting. I am just reeling with excitement.

I obviously Googled (I could marry Google if it's allowed - it's just so trustworthy every time) some pictures and found the following photographs:

The Twin Peaks

And this ladies and gentlemen is the most photographed spot. Living in a postcard perfect view.

This is the gateway to Kayangan Lake. Arguably one of the most photographed spots in Coron.

Kayangan Lake is the cleanest lake in the Philippines.

If you are reading this and you have visited Coron already, let me know what else to do or if we should keep any place we included in the tour and replace it with a more interesting place or activity. Your travel tips will be very much appreciated.
