Hong Kong Disneyland Part 1

3:16 PM

Overall, our Hong Kong trip was well-planned to say the least and of course part of our plan is to go to one of the happiest places on Earth - Hong Kong Disneyland. And yes we did. Inspite of walking under the sweltering heat of the sun hopping from one attraction to another (with an illustrated map in one hand and umbrella on the other), we managed to tour the whole park (which wasn't that huge I should say). We missed out on the railroad train between Main Street USA and Fantasyland but we felt like we have enjoyed it more than we had hoped to be.

After eating lunch at the Citygate Outlets, we then took the train from Tung Chung going to Sunny Bay station and then transfer to the train going to the Disneyland Resort Station. The coaches were different from the normal MTR coaches because of the Disney features. The seats were cushioned, windows are mickey-shaped as well as the handles, and there were Disney characters enclosed in glass casing.

It was a short trip between two stations and soon we alighted in a Victorian-inspired train station. The train and the station were both attractions in itself. As soon as we stepped inside the Mickey Mouse train, I felt like I was transported to another dimension -a dimension of happiness where children have so much fun as the adults.

More pictures and stories in my next blog post... Let me know what is or are your favorite Disneyland memories. I would love to know...
